Glass Butter Churn. No base mark. Household Dairy Glass Butter Churn. 355 mm with top in place.. 1940s
Very Good. I am unsure of age, the jar itself looks to be 1940s so that is my guess. Jar has grime and some inner haze, but looks like it should all clean leaving a bright and shiny jar. The tin lid has some corrosion. The cast mixer mechanism is corroded and has been oiled. This has corroded Phillips head screws which having been invented in the early 1930s, may be the original screws, but we feel this is not the case and it may have been overhauled at some stage. An interesting piece. Grade: 7.7 Estimate: $40 - 60
