Black wide mouthed seed bottle, wooden stopper inside, pontil trace on base. (James A. Lerk Collection) Early Glass Black Glass Black wide mouthed seed bottle, wooden stopper inside, pontil trace on base. About 210 mm. 18th century
Excellent. Some inner stain or contents residue, it looks like this will soak out. Some external grime, a patch of hard grime on shoulder looks a little harder to remove, but most of the remainder should soak off. Some usage wear under the base. Some minor scuffs and scratches. A stunning piece of early black glass, the crude wooden stopper does come out and pretty much just looks like a hand carved piece of wood. This is from the James A. Lerk collection. Grade: 8.7 Estimate: $300 - 400
