Large Stoneware Bellarmine or Bartmann Jug. Incised character on the shoulder like an A without the cross bar. Pottery Stoneware Large bulbous stoneware jug. Salt Glaze. About half gallon. 288 mm. 18th Century
Very Good. Nice large jug. Most marks seem to be from making like kiln blowouts and little dents and the like in the clay. A bit of wear and rubbing shows over the surface and around the top. Little rust stain in places on the surface. Lovely glaze and pattern.
