Pair of Lamonts: Both Marchant & Co Australia. One is a John Lamont made bottle with Lamonts Patent to the back. The other has a BGW (Botany Glass Works) base mark. (New South Wales) Aerated Water Lamont Applied tops. Aqua. 10 oz. 220 & 221 mm. 1880s-1890s
The John Lamont made one is Very Good. Just some slight dullness and scuffs. A couple of very minor burst bubbles. Will clean up better. The BGW variety is Excellent. Nice colour. Scratches down the back and lighter ones to the front. Lovely pair of bottles, not easy to find in this size. (Variations of Bottle 3, page 498 "Thirsty Work", Jones.
