Large S inside a circle. No potters mark. (These were made by Bendigo Pottery with some marketing of them in August 1919) Pottery Bendigo Called a spit mug. White with black print. Pint. 102 mm. 1919
Excellent. Bubbly glaze. Quite crudely made. Strong print. Note with the mug mentions this being a Salvation Army Mug used in Comfort Huts for the Soldiers during WW1. As stated the Bendigo Pottery themselves have records of these being made in two sizes and marketed in 1919 so just after the war. Nice and interesting item! Grade: 8 Estimate: $30 - 40
