Group of six Fairy Lights: 1. Dark Green, moulded base; 2. Amber, pontil base; 3. Clear, Pains Patents 1882, Crown & Anchor to base; 4. Aqua, pontil mark to base. 5. Amber Fairy Light. No base mark. 6. Clear Glass Fairy Light. Base Mark: Pain's Patent / No 547 / (Crown) / VR / (Anchor) / 1882. Lamps Fairy Lights Round pineapple type fairy lights. Varying patterns. Green, Amber, Clear, Aqua. 76 - 94 mm. 1860s-1900
First four all Excellent. The Clear and Green examples have Shear or Burst type lips. The other two have crudely formed folded over lips. Some minor marks amongst them and typical nibbles around the burst lip pair. No major issues noted. Lovely group. 5. Very Good. Flakes and small chips to the sheer lip. Some grime which should wash off. A few minor scratches and marks. 6. Very Good. Two or three thin flakes along upper ground lip. Flake to inner lip edge too. Light stain throughout. A bit of surface rust. Pain's Patent? Very interesting with the royal details and date. Grade: N/A Estimate: $120 - 180
