Large Chinese Ginger Jar. Blue line around shoulder and base. Smooth base. Chinese Jar Large round stoneware jar. Blue lines in glaze. Large. 153 mm. 1850s+
Excellent. Very crude one. Loads of small pottery blowouts all around. The unglazed upper section is at a big angle and there is a big load of burnt extra material on the lower edge from the kiln. Some chipping or wear around the base edge but equally a lot of this could be from the kiln. Crazing throughout. This is a really nice crude jar from the Australian goldfields period.
