R. Formby / Castlemaine. No base mark. Original Horner's Patent cap in place. (Victoria) Aerated Water Patent Applied top. Aqua. 13 oz. 214 mm with cap. 1880s
Very Good. Polished. Original egg shaped stopper in situ. Inclusion to left mid body has a small star fracture associated with it. Remains of a few scratches. Some fisheyes. Embossing remains quite good, the upper embossing on the shoulder is pretty light on. Looks to have been pretty heavily polished between the embossing, there is a distinct line between the middle part and the part around the actual embossing. Remains a really good example of a rare bottle. This is the earlier one with R. Formby on it, there is another version nearly the same with D. Formby. This is the first one we have sold.
