Original wire carrier for fire grenades. One ribbed example is unmarked but still has contents. Other example is marked: Grenade / "Unic" / Extinctrice. Excellent. The wire carrier is rusty throughout. The handle still flops as it should. The "Unic" grenade has this embossed on it in three locations. Whilst the vendor purchased this carrier with both these grenades in it, this one may not be the original as it is suspended when in place. Contents residue staining. The ground upper lip has some minor nicks. Some chipping to the base edge. These were made in France between 1869 and 1884. The second ribbed grenade appears to be original to this case. It has the contents, but these are weeping so if we are expected to post this, the contents will definitely have to be removed. Remains of some of the neck label. Some crystallisation where the contents have seeped out. An interesting lot, you do not see the carriers around for these. Grade: N/A Estimate: $$250.00 - $300.00
