(New South Wales) Medicine Veterinary 1. Applied top. Blue. 12 oz. 2. Applied top, spun finish. Ice blue. 12 oz. 1. 150 mm. 2. 135 mm.. 1880s-1910s
1. Excellent. Some grime to outer lip and neck. 2 x 3 mm surface bruise on Farmers Friend panel at the edge. Short deep scratch to base edge on a plain panel. Some deepish usage wear under the base. A little surface grime. An intermediate bottle in more ways than one. The colour is definitely blue, but no means a dark blue and it does have a slight green tinge to it - so sort of intermediate colour. Age wise, it is also an intermediate example. Not the early distinctly chamfered corner example, the corners are a little rounded, whilst still a little chamfered? Could well be an 1870s example. 2. Good. A later variety, maybe 1910s or so. Small upper lip fracture. Large surface bubble to inner neck and shoulder. Deep scratch to shoulder. Scuffed scratch to shoulder edge. Couple of pitted scratches across one side panel. Impact flake to middle part of the opposite side panel, a couple of deep scratches to this panel as well. At the bottom of this panel are a series of chips, flakes and nibbled marks right across this side. Little impact to base edge on Rows side. Usage wear under base. Nice light blue colour with faint green tinge, a great pair showing the differences in the age of these items. Grade: N/A Estimate: $$100.00 - $150.00
