Keiller & Sons / Marmalade / Dundee. Household Jar Salt glaze. Impressed. 1 Pound. 131 mm. 1860s
Very Good. Shallow flake to front outer right lip. Small flake under front lip edge. One little scrape through glaze at rear shoulder. Shallow sliver flake under rear base edge has a similar smaller one next to it. Small chip at base edge next to a large glazed over dint. Couple of flakes under base to front left seem to be down from a couple of deep scratches. A few other tiny glaze nicks to base edge. Couple of dints to shoulder from making. Some discolouration. Lump of dark glaze to right lip from making. A wonderfully crude piece of early pottery, these are goldfields era. Grade: 7.4 Estimate: $$30.00 - $40.00
