T. G. Weir / Hill End. No makers mark. (New South Wales) Aerated Water Torpedo Applied top. Aqua. 13 oz. 228 mm. 1870s
Very Good. Small flake to upper inner lip. Thin scratch like mark to rear upper lip, there is a fine bruise down from this, about 14 x 8 mm but hard to measure as it is hard to see the full extremities. Tiny sliver flake to lower blob top. Little impact flake to seam near base point. Three small impact flakes to rear mid to lower body. A little inner dirt that should wash out. Dull spot or two. Some scuffs and scratches scattered around. Embossing is strong with only minor marks. I always thought these were T. C. Weir bottles, but the C looks distinctly like a G on this one? Lovely crude bottle, this has quite a thin lip on it. Could possibly be from the 1860s even? Grade: 7.2 Estimate: $$750.00 - $1,000.00
