Bushells Tea. Slow careful curing imprisons the fragrant sap-juice within the young tender leaves of Bushells Tea. Young tender leaves, picked fresh and cured slowly, give Bushells Tea that enticing flavor. Has remains of the 1906 NSW Food Act on the top. Tins Tea Bushells Tea tin, yellow colours with ladies picking tea pictured on four sides. 2 pounds. 175 mm. 1900s
Very Good. An early variation with the Bushells logo which has the red Tea badge across it. Most of these tins have Bushells, then The Tea of Flavour below Bushells. This also has different pictures of the tea pickers to the later ones, which are otherwise extremely similar. A highly collectable tin. Has remains of label on top being a guarantee of the NSW Food Supply Act of 1906. Some corrosion to the top region and to a lesser extent under the base, with some wear. The main body has vivid colours still. There are some scratches through the paint and a little war. The paint has dark spots throughout including some streaks, which looks like where the paint has been compromised slightly - the streaks being fine scratches. A great tin, a must for any tin collector. Grade: N/A Estimate: $100 - 150
