H. J. Wilson / Port Victor. Base Mark: OO. (South Australia) Aerated Water Codd Applied top. All way pour, bulb style. Aqua. 13 oz. 229 mm. 1890s
Good. Port Victor was the early name for Victor Harbour prior to about 1921. This bottle is heavily stained all over. The right rear upper part of the bulb has a spot of rust over a 9 x 7 mm surface flake. Right in the middle of the rear chamber is a chip, 12 x 10 mm. Next to this is an inclusion with an associate butterfly fracture on the inner surface. Low down on the rear is a section of rust which has a nibbled 7 x 5 mm surface flake under it. Scuffs, scratches and fisheyes throughout. The flakes and chips are at the rear, from the front this just has the stain and wear. A very rare bottle. Grade: 6 Estimate: $$100.00 - $150.00
