Pair of small Chinese Ginger Jars. Chinese Pot Pair of Chinese Ginger Jars with light grey glaze, darker grey / blue patterns. Both just over 80 mm high. 1900s
The darker, thinner one is exceptionally crude. A wide split in the lip is from making, there is a hairline down from this. Ring around neck looks like where the lid has stuck like they put the lid on when it was still being glazed and had to chip it off? Horizontal hairline to body is about 30 mm long. Lumps and bumps throughout, a great piece. The lighter wider one is dull. This too has a ring where it looks like a lid has been on it, but offset in this case. Lump of pottery to side looks like part of another jar that has stuck to it in the kiln. Lip nick. Crazed. Some rust. A great and crude pair of jars. Grade: N/A Estimate: $$30.00 - $40.00
