Near Mint. Would have been found under a house or the like. Some grime. A few light scratches. One could argue that this is pontilled! It has a jagged ring around the base, however, this is simply a crude making mark that is not related to a pontil in any way. The all important label is stained with a spot or two of wear, but is legible throughout and a great example of a very interesting label. Of note, the contents are listed as 1 Quart and 9 Fluid Ounces, with a quart equating to 40 ounces, then this is 49 ounces! I always knew they held more than 26 ounces, did not realise they held that much more. Grade: 9.4 Estimate: $50 - 75
