Hohner 64 Chromonica, professional model. Music Harmonica Harmonica About 195 mm long. 1960s
Very Good. When Hohner introduced the first ever 10 hole slide chromatic harmonica in 1912, they could not have foreseen how successful the concept would be. Also known as the chromatic harp, the design was awarded a US patent in 1928 and has been marketed under the name Hohner Chromonica since 1938. Thanks to continual upgrades, the Chromonica series not only remains the world's best selling chromatic harmonica, but is also the basis for all subsequent developments in this field, one of the timeless Hohner inventions which have defined the harmonica history of the past hundred years. This is top of the line and quite a sought after piece. Couple of splits to the wood at the rear. The wood at the side where the slider is has a split to it too. A little corrosion in places. There is some dinting in places. Some scuffs and scratches to the chrome. No ordinary harmonica, this is truly a professional piece of equipment. Grade: N/A Estimate: $50 - 75
