A really good group of three Victorian Sauce Bottles: Rainbow Preserving Co (Clifton Hill); Smith & Lambert, Moorabbin; Jones Miller & Co, Bendigo. Household Sauce All regular Tomato Sauce shapes. First two with tool finished tops, Jones Miller with crude machine finished top. Clear; Amethyst; Clear. 13 oz. 237 - 247 mm. 1910s-1920s
Rainbow is Very Good. It has some dullness and a bit of stain. Crude marks over the front where the mould has stuck a bit. Free of bruises or fractures which is unusual for these! (7.6) Smith & Lambert is Very Good. Generally clean with scratches and scuffs to the surface. A small impact and bruise at the back base edge. Light sun-coloured Amethyst. Strong embossing. (7.8) Jones Miller is Very Good. There is a burst bubble from making shaped like a smile over 20 x 10 mm at the front right base edge. A smaller burst bubble with shallow chipping around at the very back base edge. Minor marks otherwise (and a bit dirty) not an easy on to get. (7.8) Grade: N/A Estimate: $60 - 80
