Pair of codds, both: Thomson & Co / Crystal Springs / Trade (Purity within a Cross) Mark / Registered / Mineral Water Works / Dunedin // Kilner Bros Ltd / Makers / London. Base Mark: 1914. Both are also labelled: Pure Water, Like Pure Air, Is Vital To Health / Special Artesian / Soda (Purest / Guaranteed) Water / From our Well 500 feet deep / As supplied to His Majesty the King / and Duke of Gloucester / Thomson, Lewis & Co. Ltd. (New Zealand) Aerated Water Codd Both applied top, two way pour Niagara style patents with four tear drops. Aqua. 7 oz. Both around 194 mm. 1910s
Both are excellent as they have never been buried. The one with the label on the back has an impact mark to left chamber that has a small fracture from it. A bit of grime and some minor wear to the lettering. The one with the label over the lettering has a couple of tiny lip nicks. The inner front chamber has two burst bubbles. A bit of crate wear to the embossing and some scratches. These came from the Thomson Lewis factory when it closed in 1970's Grade: N/A Estimate: $50 - 75
