Stoneware Beer Stein/Mug. Impressed 1 Lt crudely in lip. Front picture Man holding a beer aloft, Child trying to reach it, Small beer steins on legs wandering around beneath them. Side pictures are both the same: Group of men with open books singing. Vine leaves around the tops of each picture. Pottery Stoneware Greyish pottery with some yellow tones. Handled Beer Mug. Moulded and laid on design. 1 Litre. 165 mm. 19th Century
Excellent. You will find some little flakes and marks around the design, most of it appears to have happened before firing however. Appears to be an early piece given the style of manufacture and the incredible detail to the design. An outstanding piece of pottery. Grade: 8.9 Estimate: $100 - 150
