Large size Black Glass Truffle Jar. Pontil base. Goldfields Truffle Tall tapered cylinder. Very crude and thick applied lip. Black. About 20 oz. 245 mm. 1840s-1850s
Excellent. Some scuffs and scratches over the surface. A bit dirty inside, mainly lower down. One of the earliest of these you could hope to see. Saggy at the base, incredible crude applied lip ring and nice mark from the pontil rod inside the base. Large size too! Grade: 8 Estimate: $200 - 250
