Shark Tooth Salad Oil. Base mark: Pontil. Goldfields Salad Oil Applied top. Tapered cylinder with shark tooth pattern around base edge. Aqua. 7 oz. 217 mm. 1850s
Excellent. Some annealing marks to inner lip from making. Two short scratches to body with little surface flakes at the end. Some minor scuffs and scratches to the wide part of lower body. Remains of pontil under the base. A little bit of surface grime. The base designs are thinner and taller than usual, this appears to be a little different. Also worth noting that this is one of the best examples we have seen in this lovely shiny condition. Grade: 8.2 Estimate: $75 - 100
