Pair of sample Benedictine Bottles: Both have oil painted scenes on them. One has a sailing ship going past a cliff. The other has a road leading into the distance where the sun is setting. Sample/Miniature Spirits Both typical Benedictine shape. Applied tops. Dark Green. Oil painted scenes on both. About 2 oz each. 116 mm & 119 mm. 1890s
Excellent. The bottles are in great shape. A bit of dirt and grime around. Early types with applied tops. The little oil paintings are pretty amazing. They look like they have been done pretty much at the time these bottles were in circulation so late 19th or early 20th century. There is a bit of wear to the paintings as can be seen in the pictures. A pretty unique pair of bottles! Grade: N/A Estimate: $40 - 60
