Pair of labelled and embossed Jacob Hulle Strychnine bottles. Poison zzgroup 1. Applied top, spun finish. Cobalt. 1 oz. 2. Machine made. Amber. 1 oz. 1. 72 mm. 2. 90 mm.. 1910s-1940s
1. Near Mint. Still has the cork with the wax seal saying Jacob Hulle, London. Some grime in places and one or two scratches. Label has a tear or two and some minor discolouration. Neck label is stained and faded. 2. Excellent. Interestingly, this one also says it is 1 oz on the label, yet it is a fair bit bigger than the blue one? The neck label says sold only for the purpose of poisoning rabbits. A side label shows the distributor to be Felton, Grimwade and Duerdin of Little Flinders Street, Melbourne. This also has an interesting antidote label as well. There is some grime to be found. Some stain and fading to parts of the labels. Both these came from a farm in Violet Town, Victoria where they would have been since they were purchased to kill the rabbits. Grade: N/A Estimate: $20 - 30
