Large Chinese Ginger Jar. Chinese Stoneware Off white jar with grey markings. 151 mm. 1890s
Very Good. A large jar, one of the bigger ones of these that we have handled. It has grey markings on it including some Chinese characters. A little fine wear to inner lip edge. Around the neck is a rough section around the entire circumference, this is the way it was made. Some spots of rust. Crazing to be found. The glaze is nice and shiny, just a few scratches to be found. Crudely made with plenty of lumps and bumps, quite a wonderful piece really. Grade: 7.9 Estimate: $50 - 75
