Round Thatcher's Type ink with plain sides and registration diamond under base. Ink Glass Sheer Lip. Aqua. 1 oz. 60 mm. 1860s
Near Mint. The lip is unusually sound with minimal marks. A couple of little spots of surface rust. Some inner grime and dust. Some making marks. Pretty much all this needs is a good clean, it is quite good otherwise. Different to the standard Thatcher, this has the registration diamond underneath. Quite a great looking piece. From the famous ink collection of Bert Hayward, Bert was on the cover of the Australian Bottle Review in February 1976 with his display of inks! Grade: 9.4 Estimate: $50 - 75
