Excellent. This is a different example to the one sold a couple of auctions ago. There are two Chinese characters under the base of this one. Age wise, we are guessing with 1860s, it could be anywhere from there through to 1900s. It does look early though. Tiny flake to end of pouring spout. A fair bit of grime scattered around. Crazing throughout. Base edge has a little nick to the glaze, there are some scrapes from making under the base as well. The lid is extremely crude, has a small pottery blowout to the edge but seems undamaged, hard to tell as it is so crude. A wonderful piece of Chinese pottery. Grade: 8.3 Estimate: $200 - 250
