Applied Coat of Arms. No potters stamp. Stoneware Chemist Salt Glaze. Applied Decoration. 91 mm. 1840s
Very Good. Some dust and grime. The rear rim where the lid would sit has some fine nibbles and wear. Some crud to the named badge, this would have been some sort of label to identify the contents, it is now illegible and partly peeled off. Discoloured spots throughout from making, there is a little pottery mark to the front. A nice piece from the Bert Hayward collection. Grade: 7.9 Estimate: $50 - 75
