Early stoneware beer bottle impressed W - W -. Stoneware Beer Impressed American or Canadian Root Beer type bottle. 26 oz. Around 240 mm. 1870s
Good. Crudely saggy lip from making. Glaze miss, or possibly wear to front lip. Glaze wear to right shoulder. Dark scratch to rear shoulder. Pottery blowout to front lower shoulder with some glaze wear across it. Dark surface scratch to rear lower body. Repaired section to rear base edge over about 10 x 70 x 25 mm. Tiny chip on opposite base edge. Interesting large bottle which is not from Tasmania. Grade: 6 Estimate: $50 - 75
