Deep Amethyst Cordial with Tree and Vines on one side. No base mark. (Australia) Household Cordial Applied top, tooled finish. Amethyst. 26 oz. 354 mm. 1910s
Very Good. This is not to be confused with a Rose's cordial! This is a very rare bottle! More than likely an Australian competitor trying to capitalise on the Rose's market. There is a detailed tree embossed on the low part of one side of the bottle, the upper part of this same side has crossed branches with leaves coming off it. A deep purple colour, this is naturally coloured, coming from a collection of bottles dug at the Charleville tip many, many years ago. Open bubble to lower front base edge. Dirt and stain internally. Quite shiny externally, some possible minor scratches. A great bottle, don't underestimate this one, this is a rare piece which is quite likely for an Australian company. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $100 - 150
