Has a wicker basket but you can see that the lower part is in fact glazed as well. Two Gallon. 425 mm (with a large wooden base that has been attached to the bottom of the wicker). 1890s
Good. The lip has two chips - 25 x 13 m and 15 x 8 mm. There is dirt and grime around the shoulder. In fact the whole thing is pretty dirty still. The wicker has had a wooden base attached by wire and there is a rope carry handle around the top of the wicker. A beautifully crude piece of ad hoc work by someone! There are a huge number of variations of T. H. Mate demijohns, this is one of the earlier ones without Ltd on it. Grade: 6.9 Estimate: $60 - 80
