Mint. Initially I thought this was a mercury jar. However, I have never seen a handled mercury jar, and this is quite fine, whereas mercury jars are usually quite heavy. With the pouring lip it would likely have been made to contain some chemical that required careful pouring, so maybe some sort of chemists apothecary jar? This is a Fowler made piece, not one that we have seen before either. Lovely colours. I cannot even find a scratch on this one, so have graded it accordingly. Grade: 10 Estimate: $50 - 75
