Early stoneware insulator. c1860s. Insulator Stoneware Tall stoneware insulator. Deep groove to middle. Salt Glaze. 115 mm. 1860s
Very Good. Melbourne found insulator. Near the base one one side is a 23 x 19 mm chip. Elsewhere are just a few little fleabites and flakes. An indent on the ring around the piece is a glazed over manufacturing indent. Very early and crude insulator. These are quite rare, a chippy example sold last year on ebay for just over $400.
