Three large goldfields bottles. Goldfields Salad Oil All applied top. Aqua. 26 oz. 1. 372 mm. 2. 283 mm. 3. 323 mm.. 1860s
1. Good. Impact fracture to neck with an associated fracture running down the neck over a total of about 70 mm, although there is a loop at the end. Some inner haze and dirt. Generally shiny throughout, there are some scratches though and a few little fisheyes to be found. 2. Very Good. This would have been a chutney or preserves bottle of some sort with the wide neck. There is a small nibbled chip to the outer lip. 11 x 7 mm fine bruise to base edge from a little impact mark. Little flake to opposite base edge. Some inner dirt and very light haze. Some scratches scattered around. Quite a nice bottle. 3. Very Good. A plain thistle whiskey! Just kidding of course, this plain bottle could have been anything, maybe a whiskey? Little nick to lip. Light haze internally. Some minor scuffs and scratches. A few little impact marks including some over airbubbles that have caused little fractured marks to the edges of the bubbles. Although plain, this is an interesting bottle. Grade: N/A Estimate: $40 - 60
