Advertising Mirror: Foster's / Sparkling / XXX / Ale. Beer Mirror Large Advertising Mirror. About 1500 x 450 mm. 1900s
Excellent. We believe this has the original frame and backing. The metal hook at the top was added by the vendor for mounting purposes on his wall. The lettering on this one is great with very few blemishes at all. There is a blemish above the R of Foster's to the mirrored background, this is small. A similar but smaller one above the A of Ale. Along the bottom near the frame edge there are a few blemishes to the mirrored backing, but again these are relatively small and minor. Some heavy surface scratches near the bottom of the mirror. The rest has just minor marks. Foster's were advertising their XXX Ale heavily in the early 1900s, this mirror would have been made during that heavy advertising campaign. This mirror would have been hanging by the door of a pub, in fact, we believe this came from country Victoria in the Kyneton region. Grade: N/A Estimate: $1000 - 1250
