W.A. Indented base with a wide pontil. Wine Sealed Small shouldered cylinder. Applied double collar top. Black. 13 oz. 207 mm. 1790s-1800s
Excellent. Great looking bottle with a large seal on a small bottle. One of Western Australia's first bottles!! (OK, I'm just kidding this is a British seal bottle). The top and inner lip is rough with what at first appear to be some chips but with the folds and general crudeness this would seem to just be from manufacture. There are a few scratches and scuffs around the surface. The seal is perfectly struck and really stands out on such a small bottle. Another wonderful piece of early British glass. Grade: 8.9 Estimate: $200 - 250
