Pair of square Maw's White Rose Paste lids: 1. S. Maw, Son & Thompson, London. 2. S. Maw, Son & Sons, London. Pot Lid Tooth Paste Both are square with black print on white. Both about 66 mm across. 1890s
1. Excellent. Comes with a base, it is taped down, so we have not checked the inner flange for damage. Externally it is great. Most of the gold leaf has worn off. Small green stain to upper edge. Spot of rust to lower edge. Base has some small chips and hairlines. 2. Excellent. No base. Much of the gold band remains. Couple of little rust spots. Some crazing. A bit rough to lower flange, this is the way it was made. Grade: N/A Estimate: $40 - 60
