J. Gray / Campbells / Creek. No base mark. Aerated Water Patent Applied top. Ring around lower body. Lamont style stopper. Aqua. 13 oz. 221 mm. 1880s
Very Good. 7 x 3 mm shallow sliver flake to upper right lip. There may have been some exceptionally minor polishing work done around this to slightly minimise it, it is really hard to see. Some inner dirt and patchy haze, mostly this should clean out. Left mid body has a small flake at the bottom of a surface split, indicating that this is from making. Another small one down below the embossing at the front which is smaller and again amongst a crude part of the bottle. To the rear is a nibbled surface flake at the end of a scratch, another small scratch below this. A few fisheyes, some light scuffs and scratches. The inner upper part of the body ring has some scratches on it. Good example of an unusual patent bottle. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $150 - 200
