Basket weave pattern around body with a weirdly shaped label space to one side (it has been said the label space is an outline of Australia but it is a pretty rough rendition if that is the case). Base: British Registration Diamond dated 7th September 1876 and registered to Sykes, MacVay & Co., Castleford. Spirits Whisky/Whiskey Oval section with Basket weave design. Applied double collar top. Aqua. Pint. 231 mm. 1876-1880s
Excellent. Most of all this one needs a good wash as there is still some dirt and rust amongst the heavy design. Perhaps a little stain inside although again a good wash may remove this. Only minor marks to be found. Lovely bottle. Grade: 8.9 Estimate: $200 - 250
