Very early rolled lip octagonal wide neck utility. Pontil with hinge mould to the base. Goldfields Utility Applied, rolled lip. Deep aqua. 7 oz. 135 mm. 1840s
Very Good. A superb and very early piece, there are remnants of a pontil across the hinge mould. Some surface striations to the glass on the upper lip. Oiled internally. A few light external marks. Some shallow flaking under the base on pontil edge is likely from making. Wonderful item! Grade: 7.8 Estimate: $40 - 50
