G. H. Bennett / (G.H.B within a flag) / Richmond. Base Mark: Central Dot. Beer Cork Stoppered Applied top. Sand blasted. Green. 26 oz. 322 mm. 1890s
Fair. Looks good, but the lip has had a rudimentary repair. The right lip had a sliver chip over about 17 x 35 mm, this did not go all the way through, at the top it appears to be about 1 mm deep. This has been filled with some resin which has discoloured to a yellow colour. The original glass either side of the repair has some wear from the smoothing over of this repair when it was being fixed. Some inner dirt. Open bubble under the base. Swirled effect to the glass surface from making. Badge is clear on this example. A great looking bottle, these are very rare bottles! Grade: 5.5 Estimate: $150 - 200
