A B A / The property of / Abbotsford Brewery / Victoria. No base mark. Beer Cork Stoppered Applied top. Green. 26 oz. 317 mm. 1900s
Very Good. Looks like the rear of the bottle and front shoulder have been buffed at some stage. Around the embossing and the top looks to have the original sheen. Inner front lip has a little split from making, which has formed an opening, there is a fine, smaller split next to this with no opening. The right side base edge has an inclusion that may have a couple of very fine and short fractures associated, it is hard to tell due to the dark glass. Some remains of pitted scratches to the buffed areas. This would be one of the earliest bottles from ABA, the embossing is huge, not to be confused with the later examples, this is a verey nice piece. Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $30 - 40
