1850s Apothecary Chest, ex Mt Alexander, Vic (now Castlemaine). Multi-drawers. Still with many of the original bottles, measures etc. This came from a Castlemaine chemist and a couple of labelled bottles show Masters, Chemist, Castlemaine or Philpotts & Coakley. Some of the original square flint glass bottles inside are quite amazing with cut glass tops and pontilled or hinge moulded bases. Medicine Chemist Small Wooden partitioned box. Chemist set with many of the orginal bottles, measures and the like inside. Brass fittings, handles, hinges etc. 210 mm tall. 1850s
Very Good. Some wear and tear. A large section of the inside needs the partitions put back together (all the pieces are inside). Bottles and the like are generally in good shape. Could clean up a little better but this is a stunning early chemists item. Grade: N/A Estimate: $1200 - 1500
