Goldfields pickle shaped like a barrel with a band around the middle. No base mark. Goldfields Pickle Applied top. Aqua. Pint. 170 mm. 1870s
Very Good. Polished. Some stain inside that will wash out. Still lightly hazy. The lower protruding ridge of the middle band looks to have had flakes, chips and wear all the way around, this being the part of the bottle that sticks out the most. It looks like a bit of work has been done around this ridge to tidy this up, but you can still make out that it is nibbled with a wavy appearance throughout. Superb looking piece, unlike anything else we have seen before. Grade: 7.1 Estimate: $100 - 150
