G. H. Billson & Co / Trade (Crossed Axes) Mark / G. H. B / Regd / Melbourne. Base Mark: B. Beer Crown Seal Applied top, tooled finish. Yellow-green. 26 oz. 302 mm. 1910s
Very Good. 20 mm scratch under front lip. Couple more shorter scratches to front neck. The front shoulder has a longer surface scuffed scratch, there are a couple of little deeper ones at the top of this, but still not very deep. Left rear neck has a 25 mm discoloured scratch. The rear mid body has some scuffed scratches in a small section as well, one scratch goes down to the base at the rear. The rear base edge has a slightly deeper scratch across it. Some surface dirt down the inner right. There is a ring of haze or dirt to the inside towards the base that may be contents residue, this will likely clean out. A few other light scratches. One or two tiny impact marks. One or two tiny marks to the embossing, in general this is perfect. This bottle is shiny throughout, the scratches mentioned are quite minor on the whole. This is a brilliant lighter colour than normal, a very rare bottle that would be a highlight in any collection. Grade: 7.9 Estimate: $1250 - 1500
