Group lot of four embossed cabin inks: Green rectangle shoulder embossed Hollidge; Blue square shoulder embossed Hollidge, London; Ice Blue square shoulder embossed Simpsons Ink; Ice Blue rectangle base embossed Simpsons Ink, Sydney. Household Ink All are sheer lip cabin inks. All are around 50 mm. 1900s
The green Hollidge is in Very Good condition, with some light swirled stain and the usual lip flakes and marks, small impact to side base. The blue Hollidge has a small lip chip with a star crack coming down from it through an inclusion, whilst this is a manufacturing fault, it does not look nice. This is also dirty with some stain and the odd little surface nibble. The square Simpsons has some shallow sliver flakes over about 18 x 18 mm to the side neck, another small flake near this. Couple of small impact marks to base edge and a bit of dust. The base embossed Simpson has a small sliver chip to side neck and the usual lip nibbles. This is a tad dull with scuffs and scratches. A good group of inks a few of which we have not seen very often at all! Grade: N/A Estimate: $40 - 50
