Small Chinese pot with lid. Chinese/Japanese Food Jar Small, Chinese pottery lid and base with crude green glaze. 65 mm with lid. 1890s
Very Good. Crudely made piece as is often the case with Chinese ware. The lid has crazing and discolouration, but no appparent damage. The base is much more faded than the lid, with a greater amount of discolouration. The glaze appears nibbled near the base on one side. Some flakes around the lip could easily be from manufacture. There are a couple of Chinese characters under the base. Grade: 7 Estimate: $40 - 50
