Trelawny / Stilton Cheese / Factory. Household Jar Stoneware cylinder. Impressed. 10 oz. 111 mm. 1890s-1900s
Very Good. Inner lip has a 10 x 5 mm chip at the front and 14 x 4 mm chip on the right side, a few other tiny nicks to be found to lip. Very fine 52 mm hairline down the right side from the lip. Down from this is a 6 x 4 mm impurity in the pottery amongst a blowout. Looks like a rust stain, but is within the pottery. A bit of rust stain around the front upper half and in small patches elsewhere. Comes with a good fitting lid however the different glaze suggests this is not the original. Nice cheese jar and good piece of Queensland History. Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $200 - 300
