Amber Fairy Light: J. P. (James Paine Fireworks Co.) No base mark. Household Fairy Light Sheer lip, pineapple shape. Amber. Medium. 86 mm. 1880s
Near Mint. Superb piece, the JP has been highlighted with a white paint of some sort. The lip has some very small and fine flakes, typical of ground lips, but somewhat better than usual. Some possible light wear to the bulbous neck ring. A bit of inner base dirt and grime. Some very light haze in spots. We have been told that the JP signifies the James Paine Fireworks Co. James Paine was a famous pyrotechnician who provided some of the great, early fireworks shows in Great Britain. Grade: 9 Estimate: $75 - 100
