Very Good. 3 x 2 mm glaze flake to the front upper lip, exceptionally shallow. 30 mm long dark mark to front shoulder edge on the left, appears to be under glaze? Small scuff mark to glaze below the N of Goulburn. Some minor discolouration to the spiggot area, the original tap is in place on this one. 20 x 11 mm chip to front left base edge. 10 x 6 mm chip to front right base edge on the front, underneath this is about 14 x 10 mm. For some reason, there is a thick sheet of cork applied to the entire base area of this demijohn. The vendor was informed when this was purchased that it was perfectly sound when this was applied, and it was more to prevent scuffing to the shelf and possible damage to the demijohn. It is very solid when tapped, so there are definitely no holes in this area. A great example of a rare country NSW demijohn! Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $500 - 750
